Leslie is dedicated to her work and extremely reliable. Leslie always goes above and beyond to help others. She was a huge asset to the TDCJ -Rehabilitation and Reentry Division and helped create the S.V.O.R.I program for offenders in solitary confinement. Thousands of offenders have been rehabilitated because of her commitment and hard work.

I have known Leslie Woolley for many years, as both a supervisor and friend. 

As a supervisor for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Leslie had oversight of various rehabilitation programs. One of the qualities I admired most about Leslie is her ability to communicate well with staff and clients/offenders alike. She had a unique way of connecting to her clients, gaining their trust, and allowing them the space to make lasting changes within themselves. As the supervisor of the SVORI - Serious and Violent Offender Rehabilitation Initiative Program, Leslie worked with the most violent male offender population in TDCJ. During which, I observed her being consistent and fair. Leslie has always maintained herself as a professional with a level of compassion and integrity that I believe would serve well as the District Clerk of Walker County
